Blepharoplasty is an eyelid lift. This surgery is performed using a special fractional laser. The surgery will help get rid of the droopy skin under the eyes and wrinkles around the eyes (deep and “crow’s feet”) and restore muscle tone.
Blepharoplasty is one of the most popular face plastic surgeries. It is understandable because the skin around the eyes is very tender and is one of the first regions to suffer from ageing processes. Besides, it is what attracts the attention in the first place. Undergoing blepharoplasty means restoring the youth and attractiveness of your eyes and returning confidence in her uniqueness to every woman.
Blepharoplasty has long been done by surgical methods, using an ordinary scalpel, and with good results. But the difficulty was that after the surgery there appeared bruises, swelling and pain due to intrusiveness. The rehabilitation lasted for up to 3–4 weeks.
On top of that, it is impossible to remove crow’s feet and small wrinkles by a classical surgery. Also, complications of the standard blepharoplasty surgery include a noticeable post-operative scar, eyelid eversion or contraction is possible. These complications are absent in laser blepharoplasty. That is why the method of laser blepharoplasty has recently gained popularity.
Laser techniques are used for successful eyelid lift. They are notable for their precision and more noticeable effect. Besides, the rehabilitation period is considerably shorter. The time for recovery after the surgery is only 6–8 days. You can make up two days after the surgery, and after complete recovery there will be no traces of the surgery on the skin around the eyes!
Blepharoplasty helps get rid of ageing signs, effectively lift the eyelid skin and correct the shape of the eyes.
However, laser eyelid rejuvenation is contraindicated in the following cases:
There is slight swelling and bruising during the first days, but they disappear completely over a week. Hypersensitivity of eyes, tearing and other unpleasant sensations may appear. That is why one should allow rest for the eyes – do not work with a laptop, watch TV or read.
The following recommendations should be observed to achieve a better blepharoplasty effect:
Physiotherapy, such as face lymph drainage or soft peeling, and exercises for eyes will make the rehabilitation easier.
Laser blepharoplasty at our clinic is performed transconjunctivally, i.e. internal access is achieved through the mucous membranes of the eyelids. As a result, adipoceles (baggy skin under the eyes) are removed (evaporated or vaporized), skin contraction and restructuring is stimulated, and the muscle tone is restored. This effect is achieved using the special ablative fractional laser (СО2 Smart Xide DOT) that repairs and restores the surface skin layer.
This technique has been used in Europe for more than 10 years and is gaining popularity in Ukraine. Laser blepharoplasty can be a standalone operation or combined with the traditional face lift or other plastic surgeries. Blepharoplasty at the GolD Laser clinic lasts only 1-1.5 hours. You can get back to the ranks a week after the surgery.
The final effect of laser eyelid lift can be assessed after 2–3 months — drooping folds completely disappear, the skin around the eyes gets lifted, and the face looks up to 10 years younger. The effect is preserved for an average of 7 years if the doctor’s recommendations are followed.
